Grateful (or greatful)

I don't know why they don't spell grateful "greatful". It would seem that you are grateful things are great!! This week I have been "greatful". I have a new found sense of what it means to be a mom. I have taken the time to tickle and laugh while dishes sat in my sink. I sometimes forget how fast they grow up. Lilly is at the stage where something is new EVERY day. She says a new word or does something that she didn't do the day before.

Ryker is growing up to be a little man. We had our cousin stay with us and I listened to their conversations about crushes and friends and being popular. I can't believe he is old enough to worry about those kinds of things. He talks so grown up.

I had a party going on last night at my house. I was super stressed trying to get everything ready. I was literally running down my hall way back and forth trying to get things picked up as Lilly would quietly take everything back out. I was making a cake and was "greatful" to look down at my feet and realize that Lilly had been following me around. I quickly dumped the cake mix in the pan and sat Lilly in her high chair. Then I let her lick the spoon. She loved it!! It was my moment yesterday to just relax and smile at my two kids licking the bowl. How simple was that.

Today lets be "greatful" for everything GREAT in our lives.
